Tony Loschiavo is one of Toronto’s most sought after caterer and event planners.
As founder of L-Eat Catering, Loschiavo has been consistently tapped for his creative vision and cutting-edge menu creations by such high-profile, A-list clients including Mercedes Benz Canada, Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, Toronto International Film Festival, Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Tie Domi, Jane Fonda and Ted Rogers.
A trained chef, certified sommelier and successful restaurateur, Tony Loschiavo continues to amaze his clients with his ability to take a blank slate and turn it into a one-of-a-kind memorable event.
Loschiavo, a native of Southern Italy, prides himself on the fact that his affinity for cutting-edge, fusion-style cuisine combined with his relentless passion for coming up with new and creative event themes are only partially the reasons that his company is a success. He attributes a large part of these successes to his staff and Executive Chef Patrice Bellouard.
In recognition of his Italian heritage and love for Italian food, Loschiavo opened Paese Restaurant in 1989, which specializes in Italian cuisine and has a wine list that boasts over 500 selections. Loschiavo currently manages a wine cellar in excess of 10,000 bottles.
With 32 years of experience, Loschiavo has the knowledge and a genuine understanding of the industry. He was trained under Chef Rick Harris of the Hotel Toronto and gained his sommelier certificate under the tutelage of Mr. Jacques Marie at George Brown College. Loschiavo has served in managerial positions at various companies and restaurants including Vittorio’s Osteria Restaurant, Contract Kitchen and Judy’s Country Tarts, a wholesale bakeshop that supplied to niche market and major grocery stores.
